    The crank support system on the Coyotes are a weak link when installing an aftermarket supercharger, especially the larger Whipple Superchargers units. The added force on the belt & pulley system has been known to flex or snap the 5.0L Coyote crankshafts causing catastrophic damage.

    MFP (Main Force Performance) out of Australia has come up with a solution in their Coyote 5.0L Crank Support Kit. Made from billet aluminum with a billet 316 steel bearing, this crank support system helps to minimize any flex or movement in the front of the crank to help prevent breakage. The aluminum plate installs onto the timing cover around the balancer using the included spacers and bolts. The balancer bolt slides through the large 316 billet steel hub that will also sit inside of the balancer to help keep it from moving. This hub will replace the factory washer and then sits inside of a large, high-RPM-capable bearing attached to the billet aluminum plate.     The Edelbrock Pro Tuner Supercharger System #15899 is designed for a large group of model-years that include the 2015-19 Ford Mustang GT, GT350 and Bullitt edition Mustangs. This special kit is intended for competition applications and features the modular supercharger inlet that allows the use of larger throttle bodies. Included is Edelbrock’s high-flow Competition Air Intake System with reusable filter element and 113mm MAF housing, a 6-rib belt drive system, and all vehicle-specific installation components. Items that are not included in this system are the supercharger pulley (6- and 8-rib options are sold separately), the supercharger belt, fuel pump and injectors, spark plugs, and coil covers (#41149 sold separately). An optional 8-rib belt drive assembly for high-horsepower engines is available under part number 15879. Use of this system on 2015-17 Mustang GT and 2016-19 GT350 models requires the Edelbrock 103mm Throttle Body #38988, sold separately. Use on 2018-19 Mustang GT and Bullitt models will require Edelbrock 103mm Throttle Body #38989, also sold separately. The Pro Tuner Supercharger System #15899 is capable of delivering horsepower output well over the 1,000 mark with the appropriate supporting modifications and custom tuning (not provided by Edelbrock).
