Ford's turbocharged 2.3L EcoBoost is a rock-solid four-cylinder engine. However, with the debut of the 2015 Ford Mustang EcoBoost, the first thing on a lot of peoples' minds was: upgrade that thing. Why? Well, you know how us Mustang folks tend to be — purists. The thought of a four-cylinder turbo Mustang sounded sacrilegious, even though it wasn't the first one (SVO, anyone?). Well, those concerns turned out to be fairly unfounded. The 2016 Ford Mustang EcoBoost turned out pretty good, too, as did the 2017. But, guess what? We're still thinking upgrade. That's just the way we are.
