The award-winning, patent pending Adjustable Phaser Locks for the 5.0L Coyote Modular V8 Engines allow fully adjustable locking over the OEM phaser range (50 degrees) by using a stock timing set, phaser system, bolts with special plugs and slotted degree plates. The locks are easy to adjust on the engine and include a 4 crank degree (2 cam degrees) mark on the outer diameter for accurate adjustment. They allow aftermarket race cams to be physically degreed and locked to ensure adequate piston to valve clearance and precise centerline control at very high RPM under extreme conditions, independent of any computer or mapping. Locking is required with the FAST™ XFI™, XFI 2.0™ and other aftermarket EFI systems. Easily adjustable phaser locks allocate locking over the OEM phaser range (50 degrees) Allows use of larger, more aggressive aftermarket camshafts in 2011 Ford 5.0L Modular V8 engines
The Phaser Limiters and Adjustable Phaser Locks, which took home the honor of Best New Performance-Racing Product at the 2010 SEMA show, allow independent control over intake and exhaust centerlines, and eliminate piston to valve clearance issues that can occur when using larger aftermarket camshafts in 2011 Ford 5.0L Modular V8 engines. The U.S. Patened COMP Cams® Phaser Limiters for the 5.0L Coyote Modular V8 Engines physically limit maximum cam phasing to 20 crank degrees (10 cam degrees). Four separate phaser limiters, with the proper tuning software, allow the OEM computer to independently control intake and exhaust centerlines. Take full advantage of the benefits of Variable Valve Timing (VVT) when using aggressive aftermarket camshafts without needing to install custom pistons to eliminate valve clearance issues. For maximum performance, custom remapping of the cam phasing ECU control tables is required. Physically limit maximum cam phasing to avoid piston to valve clearance issues with aggressive cams Four phaser limiters or locks offer precise, independent control over intake and exhaust centerlines Phaser limiters physically limit cam phasing to 20 crank degrees (10 cam degrees) while allocating maximum intake advance and exhaust retard Allows use of larger, more aggressive aftermarket camshafts in 2011 Ford 5.0L Modular V8 engines
With a .550" maximum lift, these Beehive™ Valve Springs were designed for Ford 4.6L and 5.4L Modular 2 and 3 Valve engines as well as 5.0L Coyote. COMP Cams® Beehive™ Valve Springs deliver increased valve train stability and a much lighter valve train. This is achieved with less spring pressure for better valve control and reduced weight of both the spring and retainer. The unique Beehive™ shape handles valve train stress more efficiently to eliminate damaging harmonics and increases high RPM horsepower and durability. The oval/multi-arc wire shape places the maximum area of the wire at the point of highest stress to handle valve train stress more efficiently and allow better heat dissipation for longer life. Because of the unique Beehive™ design, the valve train can handle more RPM and more aggressive cam profiles.

Learn MoreUpgrading to these 7° COMP Cams® titanium valve spring retainers for Ford Modular and Coyote applications with a three valve head and #26113 or 26125 Beehive™ Valve Springs will often allow you to gain speed and power because titanium retainers are lighter and stronger than most steel ones. Additionally, our Super Lock™ titanium design gives you confidence; no longer will you be preoccupied with splitting a retainer and tearing up an engine when turning 10,000 RPM.
These COMP Cams® titanium retainers are made from the finest 6AL4V alloy for maximum stiffness and minimal warpage. The 6AL4V alloy is heat-treated and processed to a stringent tolerance that makes it so strong that it is even used in the aircraft industry. Other manufacturers purchase titanium from metal brokers and produce “cheap” retainers, but COMP Cams® titanium retainers will not deform. From a standing idle to the most extreme RPM, our titanium retainers perform flawlessly and without compromise.
