Lethal Performance RTD+ Flash Device - 4 Credits - MG1 PCM Service (2021-2022 F-150 5.0L / 3.5L EcoBoost / 2.7L EcoBoost)

HP Tuners is thrilled to add custom tuning support for 2021-2022 Ford F-150 3.5L and 2.7L EcoBoost and 5.0L gas trucks equipped with the MG1CS036 PCM.
HP Tuners’ solution provides tuning professionals with convenient direct flashing capabilities via the
OBDII port using their OBDII interface and VCM Suite BETA. This is possible due to HP Tuners’ new
Ford MG1 PCM Service that is required to upgrade the PCM for tuning using VCM Editor.

The retail price for the Ford MG1 PCM Service is $99.99. Once upgraded and licensed for (4) Universal Credits using an MPVI2 or newer OBDII interface, customers have full access to VCM Suite software. Courtesy of HP Tuners’ credit-based licensing system, customers can write to their licensed F-150 indefinitely assuming the PCM OS, serial number, and VIN do not change. This license system allows customers to tune as many supported vehicles as desired using a single interface.

The Ford MG1 PCM Service is a one-time send-in service that requires the original PCM to be removed from the vehicle and shipped to HP Tuners. Customers should expect 1-3 business days per PCM for this service to be completed, excluding shipping times. Additionally, this service does not require any relearns or reprogramming as long as the PCM returns to the same vehicle it came from.

Important Notes:
-This service is required to tune 2021-2022 F-150 trucks with the 3.5L EcoBoost/2.7L EcoBoost/5.0L gas engine and MG1CS036 PCM using VCM Editor.
-This is a send-in upgrade service that requires the original PCM to be removed from the vehicle and sent to HP Tuners for servicing.
-Expect 1-3 business days for servicing (not including shipping times).
-PCMs with broken tabs or connectors WILL NOT be accepted for upgrades. No exceptions. Please be careful when removing your PCM.
This service only upgrades your original PCM for tuning, it does not reprogram your PCM for a different VIN. If you intend to send HP Tuners a spare PCM, it will be returned to you with the same programming as it was received and may not operate in your Ford vehicle without additional programming by a Ford dealer.
-Your MG1 core must be fully functional with no physical or internal damage.
-No other tuning or calibration tools can be used with the PCM (including dealer reflash tools).
-VCM Scanner, Dealer Diagnostic, and other diagnostic tools will continue to function normally.

Think of the RTD as a tune delivery device only. It removes the car owner’s ability to view or edit a tune, making it simple for them to install a professionally calibrated and personalized tune. While RTD does not work with the entire VCM Suite, it does work with VCM Scanner. Instead of VCM Editor, however, RTD only works with RTD Flasher.

Reading and Writing
To read and write a vehicle using the RTD interface, the customer must use the RTD Flasher software. The RTD is not compatible with VCM Editor. The user can access these functions either through the Flash tab or the microchip icons in the navigation bar.

Datalogging
To datalog using the RTD, the customer can use VCM Scanner. Follow the same steps as you would with an MPVI2. Pro Link input can be enabled through the purchase of the Pro-Feature Set.

RTD Flasher
The RTD Flasher is a read and write only application for Windows. It is only compatible with the RTD interface and will not work with the MPVI2. RTD Flasher has no tune-editing or viewing features. When a customer reads a tune using the RTD and RTD Flasher, it will save as a .RTD file type. When a customer opens a tune to write, RTD Flasher will only open files of the .RTD file type.

The RTD+ (2nd Generation) builds on the hugely sucessful RTD with its new case, re-engineered mother board, and updated Bluetooth chipset.
