We've used the Mcleod RXT and RXT HD in several of our GT500 builds over the years with great results. Add into that the best shifter on the market and you've got your driveline upgrade handled. The 2007-2009 GT500 uses an RXT or RXT HD clutch along with your choice of aluminum or steel flywheel. The RXT and RXT HD clutch for the 2010+ GT500 is a sprung hub setup designed to work with your OEM flywheel so no flywheel purchase is necessary. The 2010+ GT500 Mcleod clutch offerings use an adapter ring which acts as it's own friction surface. The ring will bolt to the factory flywheel and allow the rest of the clutch assembly to bolt to it. So regardless of if your flywheel is glazed you don't have to worry as the 2010+ RXT / RXT HD will have it's own new friction surface area.
We recommend using the RXT clutch kit for applications up to the 900rwhp range. If you plan on making more power than that or do extensive drag racing with the car the RXT HD 1200 would be a better fit. The only difference between the two is the pressure plate on the HD 1200 has higher clamping force than the standard RXT.
