This makes it warranty compliant with most OEM and aftermarket manufactures. This pipe heat shield is also customizable. The aluminum can be painted with any high-temperature engine or exhaust paint before it is installed on the pipe. These shields can also be trimmed to any desired length. Use a heavy-duty pair of scissors, measure twice and cut ones. To achieve the OEM finish, use a box cutter to trim back 1/4 inch of the insulation and fold the foil over on the edge.
