UMI Performance 1978-1988 GM G-Body Adjustable Lower Control arms, Rod ends - 2017-B
UMI P/N 2017, double adjustable control arms are designed for race applications and light duty street use. The spherical rod ends offer a solid foundation and work excellent as a solid bushing control arm while eliminating rear suspension bind. The double adjustment allows easy on car changes for wider tire clearance and to center aftermarket rear ends. These race application control arms are manufactured from DOM steel tubing or optional 4130 CrMo and are TIG welded for the utmost in strength. The premium Teflon lined rod ends attach to the control arms using in-house machined 4130 CrMo tube adaptors. UMI P/N 2017 allows adjustments of 1” longer or 1” shorter and are supplied pre-set to factory length. These race style control arms are designed for aftermarket sway bars that do not attach to the control arms; control arms are supplied with no sway bar holes.
UMI Performance bump steer kits relocate the outer tie rod pivot point which results in decreased toe change during wheel travel. Standard kits include sleeves, rod ends, jam nuts and high quality, direct fit tapered studs. Race kits require drilling of the spindle and include heavy duty 5/8 bolts. Race kits are recommended for autocross and road race applications while standard kits are indicated for street/strip use.
