  1. Livernois Motorsports Powerstorm Billet Oil Pump Gears (1994-2014 Ford 4.6L 2V & 4V) - LPP701142

    This Powerstorm product is billet steel oil pump gears for the Ford 4.6 modular 2 valve and 4 valve engines. The oil pumps on these Ford modular engines are mounted on the front of the block and driven directly by the crankshaft. This design is OK but it does subject the oil pump to all the harmonics that the crankshaft sees. The stock oil pumps use weak powdered metal gears in them and they tend to fracture and break when subject to harmonics. Broken oil pump gears will cause a loss in oil pressure and when you lose oil pressure serve engine damage can occur. We have seen several cases of Ford modular engines with superchargers added to them that has suffered from oil pump failures. Based on this we strongly recommended these Powerstorm billet oil pump gears be installed. However we do not recommend putting new gears in a worn pump. So if you have a 4.6 2 valve or 4 valve modular engine and are rebuilding, repairing it we highly recommend you replace the entire oil pump assemble. If you want a complete new pump with Powerstorm billet gears installed already just order part number is LPP701107.

    The Mod Motor oil pump from Boundary utilizes the Ford GT500 housing with Steel back plate, and comes installed with our mirror finish billet gears. The GT500 housing has the largest pump and provides the most flow of any of the available pumps (DOHC and early SOHC). This will provide a boost in mid-range and low end engine protection, as well as the larger gear being stronger.

    All assembled billet pumps undergo the following:
    Pump is completely taken apart, all parts under go ultrasonic cleaning, air blast, and hand inspection.
    Pump is hand de-burred.
    Our industry leading mirror finished billet gear set is used
    Stainless Torx heads replace the stock fasteners
    All fasteners are torqued to spec
    Loctite applied to fasteners to prevent back out or loosening

    Parts are blue printed and issued with specification sheet.
