Steeda's X5 balljoints are designed to raise the roll center of your S197 Mustang which becomes lower as a result of lowering with lowering springs.
Raising the roll center eliminates the issues associated with the lower roll center, making for a great improvement in handling by reducing body roll and improving the front tire contact patch without increasing spring rate or roll bar rate.
Steeda balljoints are made in the USA by a respected name-brand supplier to Ford, GM and Daimler Chrysler. Except for their custom length, they are the same materials and construction that has been extensively tested in Panther applications, that is, police cars and other severe duty applications, where they have demonstrated durability that exceeds current production "regular" balljoints. They meet Ford's standards for friction, wear, and durability.
Steeda's X5 ball joints change the bump steer geometry. Steeda highly recommends a bump steer kit be used in conjunction with the X5 balljoints.
Please Note: 18" wheels are required for clearance. Also, this product does not fit the 2010 GT500. 2010 is a transition year and some Mustangs may require the X11 ball joints.

Steeda's X11 balljoints are a longer, stronger ball joint designed to raise the front roll center of your Mustang which becomes lower as a result of lowering the vehicle with springs or an adjustable ride height system.
Raising the roll center eliminates the issues associated with the lower roll center which include reduced cornering grip, increased body roll, and increased understeer.
Our X11 ball joint will improve handling by reducing body roll and improving the front tire contact patch without increasing spring rate or roll bar rate. You will experience improved steering response and higher overall front cornering grip with reduced understeer as a result.
Steeda balljoints are made in the USA from high strength steel and case hardened to meet and exceed OEM strength and durability standards. All internal housing parts are made from low-friction Nylon to preserve factory steering feel and feedback. Strength testing showed tensile strength to be nearly four times as strong as the OE ball joint.
Designed to fit 2010 GT500, and all 2011 and up Mustang models. These ball joints come with all necessary hardware and are greaseable unlike the OE ball joint.
Please Note: 18" wheels are required for clearance. Also note when using the ball joint which relocates the outer control arm pivot point, a bump steer kit must be used with it because the relocation changes the geometry between the control arm and the tie rod ends which increases bump steer.
