Heavy Duty (HD) Bilsteins work very well in street applications with a variety of both conventional springs and coil-over conversions. They are designed to deliver the best possible ride quality coupled with impressive street performance.
While they are non-adjustable, Bilstein's unique deflective-disc valve design instantaneously self-adjusts to changing road surfaces. Their performance does not degrade with age, usage, or heat, requiring no compensating manual adjustments as with other brands. Bilstein uses a patented mono-tube design that allows for a larger piston size than is possible with a twin-tube damper. The mono-tube design provides better heat dissipation to keep the damper's oil cooler, and decreases heat-induced damper fade. High-pressure nitrogen gas prevents oil foaming and fading. The unique inverted design of the Bilstein strut allows for very large strut shaft bushings, which are less prone to deflection. The inverted strut design also keeps the oil seal protected from the elements. Every Bilstein damper is tested on a shock dyno before leaving the factory to ensure quality.
These Bilstein struts and shocks include dustcovers.
KONl Sport struts and shocks are the industry leader for user adjustable damping for daily drivers to weekend warriors. KONl Sport's familiar yellow color has for decades meant superior motion control and adjustability for the discerning driving enthusiast.
The 28 Series is a line of mono-tube shocks and struts specifically designed for competition purposes, featuring individual external adjustments for compression and rebound forces. It has earned an impressive worldwide resume ranging from premier series like Formula 1, Champ Car, Indy Racing League, Formula 3, British and German Touring Cars, etc. down to amateur championships including the SCCA and NASA. The 28 Series has garnered victories at the world's most prestigious races including the Indy 500, LeMans 24 hour, Sebring 12 hour and others. The 28 Series is the shock of choice of racing manufacturers including Dallara, and leading teams including Pro-drive. The 28 series uses an advanced adjustment cartridge that controls the opening and closing of valve loaded ports. Distinct stops (clicks) assure that each port can only be either open or closed. Thus total repeatability of performance is engineered into the damper.
