Whipple's all new, 6061-T6 billet intercooler manifold not only looks incredible, it flows more fluid than the stock cast design. With a full modular design, you can simply install in a stock system, with stock lines and stock intercooler core, or you can couple with the Whipple Billet Super High Density upgraded intercooler core. The billet manifold, which is Type 2 black anodized fits directly in the stock location with no modifications required. The external inlet/outlet fittings feature two options:

3/4" Stock hose fittings with increased ID
1" Hose for EMP pump style/ice tank

The new core features 33% larger inlet and outlet water passages, for significantly increased flow capacity over stock or other aftermarket intercooler cores. The SHD (super high density) offset fin design allows increased cooling capacity in the same area vs standard density fin. With the billet flange, the SHD core was able to utilize 10% more surface area for increased cooling capacity. The Apex Street Intercooler builds on VMP's extensive intercooler R&D on the 2020+ GT500 platform. We designed this intercooler core specifically for VMP's Apex Predator Lid. The over-arcing goal of VMP's lid and street core program was to be cost effective while controlling air temps and increasing horsepower.

With a 40% increase in thickness this core gives the air more time to cool down after exiting the supercharger discharge port. Lower Intake Air temps allow for more spark timing and higher performance.
