We know you have heard about the RPS Carbon Carbon Clutch Kits. We have been around the performance clutch scene for over 20 years while our competitors continue to come and go. RPS is still here because we build a HIGH quality performance clutch kit that is hand made in the USA with top quality parts. RPS has a variety of kits available depending on horsepower, 500hp-2400hp, and application, street, strip, road course, or any combination.
The RPS Billet Street Twin Corvette C6 Carbon Carbon clutch kit, with its “Strapless” lightweight billet aluminum clutch cover and billet aluminum pressure plate, allows us to reduce the weight of the entire clutch and flywheel assembly to an incredible 25lbs with our billet aluminum flywheel or 32lbs with our billet steel flywheel. Both clutches use our special flat finger diaphragm for smooth and predicable 8000 RPM plus shifts. Our liberal use of Formula One inspired carbon-carbon friction material results in a lightweight clutch with unmatched long term durability while also being a very quiet clutch unlike many multi disc clutches available on the market. Each of the RPS Carbon Carbon kits, twin, triple, quad, are built with high grade carbon on every wear surface from the flywheel to the discs to the floater plates and including the pressure plate. This allows for the highest coefficient of friction available, compared to competitors using carbon on steel, maximizing drivability and torque capacity.
The RPS Carbon Carbon Kits can be installed using either the factory slave cylinder or for the real track enthusiasts a Tilton Adjustable Slave Cylinder which will include a special designed RPS piston and all hydraulic lines including a bleeder line. The factory slave cylinders will require a special made RPS slave cylinder bearing adapter to be installed on the factory slave. Utilizing the factory slave cylinder will help maintain a close to stock pedal feel. Installing the Tilton adjustable slaves will result in a noticably stiffer pedal feel. Slave Cylinder Piston Install
The link provided will show you the procedure to install the C6 RPS Bearing Adapter needed for the C6, 5th gen Camaro, gen 1 ctsv, and the C6 ZR1. For all later applications, C7, ZL1, Gen 2 CTSV, ect, you will only follow the 1st 4 steps including removing the green boot and spring.
