Calimer Transmissions Stage 3 MT-82 (2011-2017 Mustang GT/ V6/ Ecoboost)

Product Review (submitted on September 6, 2022):
Probably the best decision I've made for my 2014 mustang, I only have bolt on mods so I'm not making that much power but now I can make full use of the power that I have with this stage 3 from Calimer. Breaking it in the shift felt a little stiff obviously still break in period. After the 1,000 miles I put on it and then changed the fluids. I took it out to a nice road and was able to redline shift the car no issues all the way to 6th gear. My face was priceless. I went with the 26 spline input shaft for more strength, with the 26 spline single disc ceramic clutch from Mcleod. You will never have to worry about High RPM lockout with this thing. I also have a short throw shifter which makes it even more crisp and from what I noticed the hotter the transmission got the smoother it was. There is a whine with this transmission of course with the stage 3 has helical cut gears but it does not sound bad if anything it sounds like a real race car when the whine is there. And if you bump the music up the sound is negligible if anything my exhaust is louder than the transmission noise. I went with this kit since I didn't want to put the work in for the t-56 magnum and save me a few hundred bucks on a new driveshaft/don't have to mess with the wiring for the speedo. However your speedometer will be off by 12-15MPH but I have a Rev- X tuner device that can adjust the gear ratio and tire revolutions to match the speedo. I still have 3.73 gears at the rear so on the Tuner I changed it to 2.72 I believe was the biggest one I can select on it, then used a tire revolution calculator online just google it since you need you tire size to calculate the revolution per mile. Select the closest number on the tuner that you get with the calculator and viola the speedo should be fine. The way I tested this was I used my GPS help calculate my speed.
