Congratulations & huge thanks for grabbing one of our Lethal Performance S650 Carbon Fiber Hood Vents for your 2024+ Mustang GT or Dark Horse. Now that you have the vent, let's go over how to get it installed onto your vehicle!

Included in the box:

- Carbon Fiber Hood Vent
- 3M Polyurethane Sealant

Tools Required for Installation:

- Caulking Gun (for sealant tube)
- Ratchet Wrench
- 9mm socket
- Microfiber towel or rag

Carbon Fiber Hood Vent Installation Instructions

Open the hood & locate the (4) bolts and nuts holding the front of the OEM hood vent down. Remove the nuts using the 9mm socket. 

Locate the (6) tabs on the opposite side holding the back of the hood vent in and push them to release.

Carefully push the hood vent out of the hood.

Slide the (4) bolts out of the hood vent. 

Slide the (4) bolts into the Carbon Fiber Hood Vent in the same positions.

With the carbon vent carefully placed upside down, squeeze the supplied 3M sealant along the edges in a thin line, putting a double layer of sealant in the center of the back portion of the vent. Make sure to leave adequate space at the edges so that no sealant will squeeze out of the sides when installing. 

Let the sealant sit & set for a few minutes.

Wipe down the areas where the hood vent will sit on the hood to ensure there is no dirt or dust to interfere with the sealant.

Carefully place the carbon vent into place on your hood, making sure the bolts & tabs line up.

Pull the hood vent into place, making sure the tabs pop into place.

Fasten the 9mm nuts back onto the (4) bolts.

Close the hood & apply pressure to the carbon hood vent to let the sealant do it's thing. Focus on the center, rear section where extra sealant was placed.
