Whether you have a 700rwhp Mustang GT with a Stage 1 Whipple Supercharger or a 980rwhp Mustang GT with a ton of mods, if you want to race it at the track and have a clutch that can handle it then you'll want to take a look at the McLeod RXT twin disc clutch kit; a 1000hp capable clutch with excellent drivability.

Meet the McLeod RXT Twin Disc Clutch Kit

Intended for the high horsepower street/strip fan, the McLeod RXT Street twin disc clutch kit is able to handle 1000hp and still remain street-able. Ceramic lined clutch discs provide smooth engagement with a soft pedal effort to make this clutch kit ideal for the street/strip performance enthusiast.

The McLeod twin disc RST, RXT and RXT1200 clutch kits all use a 9.687-inch diameter clutch with changes in the clutch disc material. This smaller diameter requires less diaphragm pressure. That decrease in pressure gives the system an easier pedal, similar to stock. After install, customers have stated "Something’s wrong with my clutch, it’s too easy." Nope, it’s designed that way!

We've run a McLeod RXT in quite a few of our Lethal Performance project vehicles and they have all taken some abuse both on the street and the drag strip - yes, even our stock MT-82s held up!

The McLeod RXT twin disc clutch kit is a very streetable clutch. While the on/off engagement does not have as much slip as OEM, it still offers a smooth pedal effort while supporting your high horsepower build. However, if you like more slip in your engagement, McLeod also offers the RXT as a Sprung Hub design for some applications. The sprung hub design allows for the dampening of driveline vibrations & features smoother engagement than the solid hub setups (aka it's not as "grabby").

The McLeod RXT is available for a variety of different applications, including Mustang GT, Cobra and Shelby GT500s. Browse some featured RXT kits below or give us a shout to go over which McLeod RXT twin disc setup is right for your build.
