Fully-welded from extruded aluminum with a cross beam design, the BASE Rack has no need for a supporting subframe and exerts no flex under load.

With an air bag equipped vehicle for example, it is essential that the vehicle's crush rate and air bag triggering is not altered when a bull bar is installed. Our exhaustive testing programs ensure ARB bull bars meet these requirements. We also devote considerable time and resources toward to sourcing new products from around the world. IPF lights from Japan, Warn winches from the US' we scan the globe in search of equipment that meets both the demands of our customers and our own stringent quality requirements. Maximum load per BASE Rack beam is 55 lb. Loads must be evenly distributed and adequately secured.
The cross beam design provides a loading platform for a more versatile range of cargo, particularly long, thin items such as timber.
Finished in Integrit' textured black powder-coat. This finish creates a durable, anti-corrosive, scratch-resistant surface allowing you to easily clean off debris while the black color adds a sleek modern look to your vehicle.
Removable end caps allow access to the channel for installing hidden electrical cables for roof lighting and solar.
Unique dovetail mounting extrusion offers greater versatility, flexibility and speed in accessory placement and attachment. The dovetail design means less dirt entrapment and easy cleaning.
The BASE Rack does not interfere with the OE mounted antenna and clears the rear beam by approximately 1.2 inches.
The wind deflector mounted to the underside of the rack results in a quiet driving experience.
Suited to a dual-cab the BASE Rack is 49 in (L) x 51 in (W) and approximately 31.5 lb. The added minimum height to the vehicle is 2.4 inches.

The BASE Rack takes accessories and cargo loading to a whole new level of simplicity, speed, and personalization. The BASE Rack is fully-welded aluminum for lightweight strength that doesn't flex under load. It can therefore be mounted close to the vehicle roof for a slimline aesthetic and reduced drag. Its dovetail extrusion attachment system runs the full perimeter of the rack and along each internal beam providing endless mounting and attachment options. Adding, removing, and repositioning accessories and roof loads is quick and easy and individual items may be installed or removed without disturbing the whole load. Unlike traditional roof rack channels, the BASE Rack dovetail system doesn't collect dust and debris. This kit includes a 49 in (L) x 51 in (W) BASE Rack, mount kit with wind deflector to suit the Toyota Tacoma along with full guard rails. The rails attach quickly and easily to the dovetail extrusion around the rack's perimeter with some additional fixing points at the rack corners. A full guard rail system can be taken on or off in just a few minutes. The rails running around the perimeter of the rack act as a load block, helping to prevent larger items from shifting when loading and unloading, as well as during transit. The wider rack option allows for more accessories to be hung to the side without interference with the vehicle. It also allows for certain accessories such as aux lights to be mounted underneath the rack and for accessories to be mounted east-west (e.g., recovery boards) offering greater flexibility with cargo loading.
History - The origins of ARB can be traced back to Australia's remote Top End, circa 1975. A region of vast distances and rugged terrain, it was fast becoming a Mecca for the nation's burgeoning 4WD community. However, the very environment that attracted 4 wheelers also wreaked havoc on their equipment
when driving in extreme conditions, only the best 4x4 accessories will do. This was the conclusion drawn by Tony Brown during his travels at the time. While exploring the treasures of the Top End, the skills Tony gained from working on his Land Rover were regularly called on to mend damaged bull bars and broken roof racks. Bar work back then was crude, not at all suited to overland touring, and through this experience an idea was born

Upon returning to Melbourne, Tony put theory into practice via the family garage, where he sought to address the product deficiencies he'd encountered.
