Who is it for? 2009-2014 F-150 and 2010-2014 F-150 SVT Raptor. The 12th generation truck.
Why do you want them? Because factory halogens on a truck this age are the single biggest thing standing between you and being able to see at night.
These are a premium upgrade that brings genuinely current technology and styling to a truck that is now over a decade old. With the optional driver upgrade, they are among the brightest headlights you can put on this platform.
Overview & Install Video
What Makes Them Different
A new generation of Morimoto dual Bi-LED projectors does the heavy lifting: a wide, bright low beam and a high beam that genuinely clears the road. They meet and exceed the headlight performance standards set by the IIHS, and in high beam mode two dedicated 1Banger spot/flood combo pods inside the housing add further intensity and coverage.
- Nichia-optic Bi-LED projectors. A properly defined beam pattern rather than the scatter you get from cheap LED conversions, with far more width than stock halogen or HID.
- Integrated 1Banger pods. Two spot/flood combo pods inside the housing, active on high beam.
- Signal swap system. Configure the DRLs and turn signals to run white or amber, via a plug-and-play key on the back of each headlight. No loss of intensity either way.
- Patent-pending heated lens. A heating element warms the lens surface to keep frost from building up in cold and wet conditions.
- Built to last. UV-coated polycarbonate lenses and PPS plastic housings resist yellowing and hazing, with die-cast aluminium heat sinks managing LED temperature.
- Plug and play. Supplied harness, no complex wiring, works with factory halogen and HID trucks.

The Supercharged Driver Upgrade
The XB Evo is DOT compliant for public roads in the USA in standard form. If you want more, Morimoto offers optional Supercharged LED drivers that boost light intensity by 30 to 50%.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which F-150s do these fit?
2009-2014 F-150 and 2010-2014 F-150 SVT Raptor, the 12th generation truck. They work with both factory halogen and factory HID setups.
Are they street legal?
Yes, the standard configuration is DOT compliant for public roads in the USA and meets SAE standards. Adding the optional Supercharged drivers pushes output beyond that.
What do the Supercharged drivers actually do?
They increase light intensity by 30 to 50%. They are an optional upgrade and they take the headlights past the DOT-compliant output of the standard setup.
Can I run amber turn signals?
Yes. The signal swap system lets you configure both the DRLs and the turn signals as white or amber using a plug-and-play key on the back of each headlight, with no loss of intensity.
What is the heated lens for?
A patent-pending heating element warms the lens surface to stop frost building up in cold and wet weather. LEDs run too cool to clear ice on their own, which is why this exists.
Is installation difficult?
No. They are plug and play with a supplied harness, so there is no custom wiring or modification needed. The video above walks through it.
Will they yellow or haze over time?
They use UV-coated polycarbonate lenses and PPS plastic housings specifically to resist that, with die-cast aluminium heat sinks managing LED temperature for a longer service life.
What is the XB Evo Hybrid?
A lower-cost version of the XB Evo with the same housing and fitment. It exists for all three F-150 generations. If the standard XB Evo is more than you want to spend, compare the Hybrid rather than skipping the upgrade.
Will these fit my 2015-2017 or 2021-2023 F-150?
No. This article covers the 2009-2014 truck, part LF2-506. The 2015-2017 F-150 and 2017-2020 Raptor use LF2-502, and the 2021-2023 trucks use LF2-498. They are physically different assemblies. See the generation table above.
What is the warranty?
Morimoto's five-year warranty, which is among the longest in aftermarket lighting.
