Your Order, Protected.
How it works
One Checkbox. That's All It Takes.
When you add Route at checkout, your entire order is protected against loss, theft, and damage in transit — for a fraction of your order total. No separate account. No complicated setup. Just check the box and ship with confidence.
What's covered?
Lost in Transit
If your carrier marks a package as delivered but it never shows up — or tracking stops updating — Route covers it. File a claim and get taken care of.
Damaged in Transit
Arrived in bad shape? Route covers damage that happens during shipping. Document it when it shows up, file a claim, and move on.
Porch Theft
Porch pirates are real. If your package is delivered and then goes missing, Route has you covered. File through the app and get a replacement or refund.
Claims
File a Claim in Minutes — Not Days
Go to claims.route.com or the Route app, enter your order info, attach a photo, submit. No hold music, no ticket bouncing. Resolved typically within a few business days.
Route is a package protection add-on available at checkout. If your order gets lost, stolen, or damaged in transit, Route covers it — replacement or refund, your choice. You can also use the Route app to track all your orders in one place and file claims directly. Download the app here.
Your call — refund or reorder. Refunds cover the item subtotal, shipping, and taxes. Reorders cover replacement items, shipping, taxes, and a new Route plan, subject to availability. Either way, the cost of Route itself is non-refundable.
Timing windows matter:
- Stolen (marked delivered): file between 5–30 days from delivery date
- Lost domestic (stuck in transit): file between 7–30 days from last tracking update; maximum 365 days from order date
- Lost international: file between 20–30 days from last update; maximum 365 days from order date
- Damaged: file within 30 days of delivery; photos of packaging and item required
File at claims.route.com or in the Route app. You'll need your LP order number or Route ID and the email on the order. Route also sends you a claim link in your protection confirmation email.
Photograph the packaging and the item before doing anything else, then file at claims.route.com within 30 days of delivery. If you think the issue is a manufacturing defect rather than shipping damage, contact LP directly — that's on us, not Route.
Route itself isn't an insurance company, but it operates through Route Insurance Solutions, a licensed insurance producer. Everything is compliant and above board. Full terms at route.com/terms-and-conditions.
