Best Shelby GT500 Upgrades

The GT500 name has always meant supercharged Mustang power at its peak, from the S197's 5.4L and 662-horsepower 5.8L Trinity to the 760-horsepower 5.2L Predator in the S550. Every one is a factory monster with serious headroom left in it.

Supercharger Pulley: A smaller pulley raises boost on the factory blower across every generation, the highest-value first move. See our pulley chart.

Custom Tune: Required to dial in fuel and timing for boost and bolt-ons and to safely unlock the calibration.

Cold Air Intake: More flow into the supercharger for better response and supporting airflow.

Fuel System: Big boost demands fuel. Upgraded pumps, injectors, and lines keep AFR safe as power climbs.

Upgraded or Ported Supercharger: A larger or ported blower is the path past 1,000 horsepower, especially on the 5.8L Trinity and 5.2L Predator. Learn the Trinity in our engine guide.

Suspension, Aero, and Driveline: Put the power down and keep it planted. See our shop-built 2013 GT500 and 2020 GT500. Use the year-specific pages for exact-fit parts.
