While both a trans brake and the Launch Controller both help a vehicle leave faster off the line and help build boost in a supercharged or turbocharged applications, the benefit of this over a trans brake is the simplicity, ease of install, and keeping the drivetrain engaged, allowing the suspension to set before the car leaves, shortening your 60ft, 0-60 MPH, and of course 1/4 Mile times.
