Dark Horse SC: The $100K+ Pony

The highly anticipated 2026 Mustang Dark Horse SC is almost here, and we finally have a look at the leaked starting MSRPs. The base SC Coupe starts at $103,490, while stepping up to the Track Pack will set you back $139,990. For those wanting the ultimate collector version, the Track Pack Special Edition carries a staggering $170,970 price tag.

While official specs are still under wraps, this is basically a modernized GT500 for the S650 generation. For comparison, the 2020 GT500 originally launched with a base MSRP of $73,995, even with the top-tier Carbon Fiber Track Pack only reaching $102,495 at the time.

Note that these new SC prices exclude the mandatory $3,000 Gas Guzzler Tax and $1,995 destination fees. For a full deep dive and breakdown of the differences between the outgoing GT500 and the new Dark Horse SC, be sure to check out our Dark Horse SC vs GT500 article.

Lethal Dark Horse Hits the 8s!

We've been chasing a milestone for a while now, and we are stoked to announce that our 2024 Whipple-supercharged Dark Horse has finally broken into the 8-second club! With our Lethal Performance Edition Gen 6 3.0L Whipple and a custom E85 tune, we clocked a blistering 8.87 @ 154 MPH at the drag strip.

This run proved exactly what the S650 platform is capable of when you combine the right parts with a proper custom tune. If you want to see exactly how you can run 8's in a Dark Horse too, check out our How to Build an 8-Second Dark Horse Guide.

2025 Bronco 2.3L ProCal Is Live

Ford Performance has officially released the new ProCal 4 calibration for the 2025 Bronco 2.3L EcoBoost, and the gains are impressive. This factory-engineered tune bumps output to 335 horsepower and a massive 400 lb-ft of torque. Beyond the power, it also optimizes your shift schedule and sharpens throttle response throughout the entire RPM range.

The best part about the ProCal system is that it maintains your 3-year/36k-mile factory-backed warranty when installed by an authorized dealer or ASE technician. It's the perfect OEM Plus upgrade for owners who want more trail-shredding torque without risking their peace of mind.

The tool also allows for speedometer correction for larger tires up to 37 inches and gear ratio changes up to 5.38. It delivers a refined, factory-engineered power curve that makes your 2.3L EcoBoost feel like it should have from the assembly line. Ford has also extended ProCal support for the 2026 Bronco 2.7L, 2026 Bronco Raptor 3.0L, and Ranger Raptor 3.0L. For a full overview on the ProCal 4 including dyno charts check out our ProCal 4 Guide.

MBRP Collab: New Catbacks and Axlebacks Coming Soon

We are currently collaborating with MBRP on a brand new lineup of axleback exhaust systems. These are specifically designed to work in perfect harmony with our popular Resonated Double H-Pipe and Non-Resonated Double H-Pipe for 2015 through 2026 Mustang GT and Dark Horse applications with the 5.0L engine.

The goal is to provide that signature deep, muscle car rumble while keeping cruising drone out of the cabin. By combining our resonated H-pipe with MBRP mufflers, you're sure to get an uncompromising sound that matches the high-end performance of the Coyote V8.

Stay tuned for sound clips and official release dates in the near future. These kits will be one of the most effective ways to transform your Mustang's soundtrack.
