UMI Performance 1993-2002 GM F-Body Chrome Moly Shock Tower Brace - 2006-B
he CrMo shock tower brace from UMI adds great looks, front end protection all while keeping the weight slim. UMI’s CrMo brace weighs only 4lbs, 1/2lb lighter than our mild steel version P/N 2005. UMI’s CrMo design uses thin wall 4130 tubing TIG welded to ¼” thick CNC laser cut brackets. Installation of the UMI shock tower brace takes 15 minutes or less using basic hand tools.
UMI Performance bump steer kits relocate the outer tie rod pivot point which results in decreased toe change during wheel travel. Standard kits include sleeves, rod ends, jam nuts and high quality, direct fit tapered studs. Race kits require drilling of the spindle and include heavy duty 5/8 bolts. Race kits are recommended for autocross and road race applications while standard kits are indicated for street/strip use.
