UMI Performance 1979-2004 Ford Mustang Upper Control Arm Reinforcement - 1010
The Ford Mustang is well-known for its ability to produce high amounts of low end torque and incredible 60-foot times. It is also known for its weak rear control arm mounting points. The upper and lower rear control arm mounting points are the areas where the control arms attach to the under carriage of the vehicle. Over time these areas weaken, causing cracks, tears and irreversible damage, making upper and lower control arm reinforcements a must when racing and hard driving habits are present.
UMI Performance bump steer kits relocate the outer tie rod pivot point which results in decreased toe change during wheel travel. Standard kits include sleeves, rod ends, jam nuts and high quality, direct fit tapered studs. Race kits require drilling of the spindle and include heavy duty 5/8 bolts. Race kits are recommended for autocross and road race applications while standard kits are indicated for street/strip use.
