UMI Performance 1971-1980 GM H-Body Non-Adjustable Lower Control Arms - 5015-R
UMI Performance’s rear lower control arms for the 71-80 GM H-Body are a direct bolt in replacement for the rear factory control arms. The light weight tubular construction is designed to minimize wheel hop, improve traction and help track consistency. The sold construction eliminates flex found in the factory control arm while the new supplied Energy Suspension bushings minimize bushing deflection. UMI’s control arms are fabricated from 1.250” drawn over mandrel mild steel tubing, they are CNC machined and fully TIG welded for the utmost in strength. Control arms also feature grease-able Energy Suspension polyurethane bushings, grease fittings and zinc plated steel sleeves.
UMI Performance bump steer kits relocate the outer tie rod pivot point which results in decreased toe change during wheel travel. Standard kits include sleeves, rod ends, jam nuts and high quality, direct fit tapered studs. Race kits require drilling of the spindle and include heavy duty 5/8 bolts. Race kits are recommended for autocross and road race applications while standard kits are indicated for street/strip use.
