UMI Performance 1971-1980 GM H-Body Adjustable Lower Control Arms - Rod Ends - 5016-B
UMI’s lower control arms are a direct bolt-on replacement designed to minimize wheel hop and improve traction while helping track consistency. These control arms are constructed of drawn over mandrel mild steel tubing measuring 1.250" OD x 0.120" wall thickness, CNC machined and fully TIG welded. The spherical rod end allows for a bind free operation, making a great upgrade for both a track and auto cross driven car. The polyurethane bushings are designed to be bolted to the car chassis for a quiet comfortable operation while the rod ends attach to the rear end. Control arms feature Energy Suspension polyurethane bushings; zinc plated steel sleeves and on-car grease-able grease fittings. Adjustments can be made using the high quality Teflon lined spherical rod end that allows the rear end to be moved forward or backward, this is excellent when running larger tires and aftermarket rear end installs that require rear end centering.
UMI Performance bump steer kits relocate the outer tie rod pivot point which results in decreased toe change during wheel travel. Standard kits include sleeves, rod ends, jam nuts and high quality, direct fit tapered studs. Race kits require drilling of the spindle and include heavy duty 5/8 bolts. Race kits are recommended for autocross and road race applications while standard kits are indicated for street/strip use.
