UMI Performance 1971-1975 GM H-Body Adjustable Upper Control Arms- Rod Ends - 5019-R
UMI’s rear upper control arms are a direct bolt-on replacement designed to minimize wheel hop and improve traction while helping track consistency. These control arms are constructed of drawn over mandrel mild steel tubing measuring 1.250" OD x 0.120" wall thickness, CNC machined and fully TIG welded for the utmost in strength. Control arms feature Energy Suspension polyurethane bushings; zinc plated steel sleeves and on-car grease-able grease fittings. Adjustability allows for correctly setting vehicle pinion angle. Pinion angle adjustments are a must when wanting to lower your track 60-foot times, increase traction and reduce unwanted wheel hop. The high quality Teflon lined spherical rod end allows for a bind free operation and allow the suspension to articulate correctly. The polyurethane bushing side is designed to be bolted to the chassis side of the vehicle helping to eliminate road noise and maintaining ride comfort. Note: The 1975 Vega Cosworth and other H-Bodies in 1975 used a panhard bar/torque arm set-up. If your vehicle is a 1975 model please verify your vehicle has rear upper control arms.
UMI Performance bump steer kits relocate the outer tie rod pivot point which results in decreased toe change during wheel travel. Standard kits include sleeves, rod ends, jam nuts and high quality, direct fit tapered studs. Race kits require drilling of the spindle and include heavy duty 5/8 bolts. Race kits are recommended for autocross and road race applications while standard kits are indicated for street/strip use.
