UMI Performance 1964-1972 GM A-Body Front Coil Over Conversion Brackets, Weld In - 4054
UMI P/N 4054 is used to provide a double shear upper attachment point for a true 2-1/2” racing coilover shock and spring. Most applications will use an industry standard 7” stroke double rod end shock and 12” x 2-1/2” diameter coilover spring. The bracket bolts to the upper a-arm mount in order to properly locate the unit for welding. Prototyping was completed using Afco Pro-Tour Elite shocks. Your brand may require additional modification. Please contact UMI for sizing. Heavy fabrication is required as the 4054 is intended for use on high-end, high performance Pro-Touring builds. UMI Performance bump steer kits relocate the outer tie rod pivot point which results in decreased toe change during wheel travel. Standard kits include sleeves, rod ends, jam nuts and high quality, direct fit tapered studs. Race kits require drilling of the spindle and include heavy duty 5/8 bolts. Race kits are recommended for autocross and road race applications while standard kits are indicated for street/strip use.
