The PCV side of the crankcase ventilation system connects the crankcase to the intake manifold. Vacuum from the engine is constantly pulling contaminants out of the crankcase to be burned in the combustion process. This is the line that sees the most oil contamination, and a perfect place for a catch can.
The Radium PCV side catch can kit for the CTS-V (p/n 20-0562-FL) mounts to the firewall on the passenger side of the engine bay as shown below. This engine does not use a true PCV valve and uses a small flow restrictor in the PCV vent line. This is not optimal for a performance engine.
The Radium catch can kit eliminates the restrictor and includes a new oil cap with a built-in fully functioning Radium PCV valve. This improves the drawing of fresh air through the engine for a cleaner crankcase. The oil fill neck is now a high-flow breather point for the crankcase. 3/8" hoses interface with Radium oil cap and intake manifold.
