Motive Gear Mustang 8.8" Gear Set (3.90 ratio)
Motive Gears are for 8.8" Ford rear end. Motive uses these gears in high horsepower racecars with outstanding results. Master bearing kit recommended by most installers for Motive Gears, especially on cars with mileage.
Motive Performance Plus gears are made with an extra strong race quality alloy. We recommend Motive Gears over FRPP, as they are just as strong and less expensive. They also do NOT have a reputation such as Richmond for "gear whine".
NOTE:2010 and newer Mustang Owners. Starting in 2010 Ford changed the inner rear gear pinion bearing in all 8.8" equipped Mustangs. Because of this you will require a new 8.8" rear gear pinion bearing (Ford part# 9L3Z-4630-A) for proper installation.
