The factory transmission cooling on the 2004-2008 Ford F-150 is sized for stock duty, and fluid temperatures climb fast under the sustained load of towing and hauling. Heat is what wears a transmission out. The Mishimoto Transmission Cooler attacks the problem with raw capacity: a tube-and-fin core with a 174% increase in core volume over the factory Standard Cooling setup, giving the system far more headroom to keep fluid temperatures in a safe range when the truck is working hardest.----It doesn't just beat the base cooler - with a 32% increase in core volume over the F-150 Super Cooling option, it runs cooler than the heaviest-duty cooling Ford offered from the factory. A 286% increase in external fin area and 305% increase in internal fin area move heat from the fluid into the airstream far more efficiently, and all-aluminum construction handles the thermal demands of stock and modified F-150 trucks alike. The cooler retains the factory transmission line connections and includes new fittings plus a fitting removal tool for a clean, complete upgrade with no additional adapters or plumbing.----Direct fit for the 2004-2008 Ford F-150 4.6L and 5.4L V8. No drilling, cutting, or modification required. Backed by the Mishimoto Lifetime Warranty.
Installation Instructions
- Tube-and-fin aluminum core built for sustained load - durable all-aluminum construction holds transmission temperatures in check through the heat of towing where the stock cooler falls short.
- 174% more core volume for serious heat dissipation - the oversized tube-and-fin core pulls far more heat from the fluid than the factory Standard Cooling setup under tow and heavy load.
- New fittings and removal tool included - bolts to the factory transmission line connections and ships with new fittings and the removal tool, so no extra parts or tools are needed.
- Outcools even the factory tow package - a 32% increase in core volume over the F-150 Super Cooling option means it runs cooler than the heaviest-duty cooling Ford offered.
- 286% more external and 305% more internal fin area - the added fin surface moves heat from the fluid into the airstream far faster than the factory Standard Cooling core.
- Drops in without modification - confirmed direct fit for 2004-2008 Ford F-150 4.6L and 5.4L V8 trucks, with no cutting, fabricating, or adapter work required.
- Own it for life - backed by Mishimoto’s Lifetime Warranty, your investment is protected long after install day.
