Improve your Jeep Wrangler JL or Gladiator JT's off-road performance and on-road ride quality with FOX 2.0 Performance Series IFP shocks. PN 985-24-171 front shocks work with stock vehicle height or up to 1.5" lift. Tuned specifically for Jeeps, these Fox 2.0 Performance Series shocks are a big step up from stock shocks. IFP stands for Internal Floating Piston, which is a secondary piston that completely isolates the gas charge chamber from the shock's fluid. This eliminates the possibility of fluid aeration. (By comparison, cheapie twin-tube shocks store the gas charge in a plastic baggie that can quickly deteriorate.) FOX IFP technology also adds an extra measure of ride quality "cushion". During compression, the fluid acts on the floating piston which in turn, compresses the nitrogen charge. Performance Series shocks feature impact-extruded 6061-T6 aluminum, clear anodized bodies to reduce weight and also dissipate heat better than steel shocks. 5/8" hard chrome-plated, heat-treated steel shafts drive race-inspired, high flow pistons and precision valving. These are seriously high quality, Made In The USA shock absorbers. On or off-road, you'll be thrilled with the quality, performance, and ride of your Jeep with Fox shocks. Sold in pairs. Since 1989, JKS Manufacturing has developed some of the world?s most widely used and respected products for Jeep vehicles. It all started when we pioneered the original Quick Disconnect brand of quick-release sway bar disconnects. Since then our product range has expanded to include such favorites as the ACOS line of height-adjustable coil spring spacers, and perhaps our most advanced creation to date, J-Spec Suspension systems including the JK Front Coilover Conversion.
