Add structural reinforcement to your Jeep Cherokee XJ with JKS Unibody and Steering Reinforcement Braces. This driver's side-only weld-on system includes inner and outer chassis reinforcement plates
steering box brace, support sleeve, tow hook support bracket and hardware. The unibody chassis on Jeep Cherokee XJ models is constructed of multiple sheet metal layers that are formed and spot welded together. When subjected to off-road torsional forces, the chassis develops small fatigue fractures in high stress locations. The power steering gear mount is particularly vulnerable, due to the tremendous leverage required to control large tires in off-road conditions. Plates attach directly to inside and outside of chassis rail. Heavy gauge steel construction. Bare metal. Weld-on.
Since 1989, JKS Manufacturing has developed some of the world?s most widely used and respected products for Jeep vehicles. It all started when we pioneered the original Quick Disconnect brand of quick-release sway bar disconnects. Since then our product range has expanded to include such favorites as the ACOS line of height-adjustable coil spring spacers, and perhaps our most advanced creation to date, J-Spec Suspension systems including the JK Front Coilover Conversion.
