Tires with thicker beads may require the use of shims to ensure the beadlock ring is properly seated against the face of the wheel. This ICON Alloys 15” Beadlock Shim Kit includes .090” thick aluminum shims that can be installed to fit tires of various bead thicknesses to the 15” UTV Compression beadlock wheels. Proper use of beadlock shims will also reduce stress and fatigue on the ring bolts.
ICON Alloys was established with an objective to provide quality wheels built with precision, performance, and strength in mind. Time after time in the development of suspension components the ICON R&D team ran into clearance, fitment, and steering geometry issues with available wheel that limited drivability and performance of the vehicle in study. As this trend continued, producing a line of wheels that followed the “form follows function” approach made more and more sense, and off to the drawing board it was.
