DBA 5000 Series T3 Slotted Brake Disc Ring (2015-2016 Corvette Z06) - DBA52771.1S
Sharing all the benefits of the 4000 Series, DBA's 5000 Series rotors are a composite 2 piece direct replacement brake rotor. DBA uses only the highest quality materials to ensure optimal performance under the most strenuous circumstances, combining high carbon cast-iron rings with aerospace grade aluminum hats (T6061-T6), held together with National Aerospace Standards (NAS) bolts and crimp nuts. The 5000 Series share all of the performance technology featured in the 4000 Series, with the added benefits of further weight reduction and improved heat management via aluminum hats. The use of aerospace grade aluminum hats reduces the unsprung weight of the brake rotors, while allowing for uniform radial disc expansion through the cast iron rings, and reduced heat transfer from disc to hub via the aluminum hats. DBA offers both complete assemblies for first time replacement (hats and flat discs bolted together) along with replacement hats and flat disc rotors (rings). This allows drivers to re-use their DBA 5000 Series hats with DBA replacement flat discs (rings). DBA recommends the 5000 Series for high performance street vehicles, track day and club racing and rally applications.
DBA rotors are a direct replacement upgrade from the original equipment brakes featuring advanced materials, precision manufacturing, unique slotted and cross drilled designs, and DBA's patented Kangaroo Paw ventilation for cooler rotor temperatures.
DBA USA is the US division of Disc Brakes Australia, an award winning brake manufacturer based in Silverwater NSW. DBA is a global leader in disc rotor manufacturing with over four decades of manufacturing experience and product design innovations. While popular, DBA is not limited to providing standard OE-style direct replacement rotors to fitters in Australia, DBA also manufactures a comprehensive range of enhanced performance products. These high performance brake products boast such features such as DBA's patented post and pillar system known as Kangaroo Paw ventilation as well as T3 non-directional slotting, XS cross drilling, exotic material compositions and improved appearance. The top of the line 5000 Series rotors incorporate a highly sophisticated two-piece design that utilizes an aluminum center hat for weight savings and improved thermal capacity and heat dissipation over traditional one piece rotors.
