The BD Full Bore Exhaust Manifold for the Chevy Duramax engine replaces factory driver's side "pinched down" unit, restoring exhaust flow and balances the V8 engine for smother running. Flow design will accommodate enhanced performance engines by aiding them in improving exhaust velocity to drive the turbocharger, improving power, increasing economy and lowering EGT's. Made from high-silicon ductile iron, the Full Bore is a direct, bolt-in replacement for the factory manifold and is even drilled and tapped to accept the most popular EGT probes.
The BD name became recognized in 1989, when the company introduced the first exhaust brake for the burgeoning Diesel pick-up truck market. BD's roots, however, actually date back to 1972, when Valley Fuel Injection Ltd. (VFI) first opened its doors.
