The Anderson Composites Type-GR hood is a double-sided carbon fiber option built for 2018–2023 Mustang GT, EcoBoost, Bullitt, and Premium trims. It’s made using a vacuum-infused 3K, 2x2 twill carbon fiber cloth, delivering a lightweight yet rigid structure with a consistent weave pattern and polished finish. A marine-grade gel coat with UV inhibitors is applied to help preserve the hood’s high-gloss appearance over time.
This hood features a bonded carbon fiber “skeleton” on the underside to keep weight down (approximately 22.5 lbs) without sacrificing strength. It mounts using the factory OE hinges and latch setup, though hardware is not included. The mesh screen is removable and paintable, giving you flexibility for custom builds or color-matched accents.
Note: This hood does not fit Shelby GT350 or GT350R models. For proper support and safety, Anderson Composites recommends using hood pins and a prop rod instead of OE gas struts.
