The stock hood on the 2015–2017 Mustang GT doesn't offer much more than basic coverage. If you're serious about shedding weight and improving underhood airflow, the Anderson Composites Carbon Fiber Type-AT Hood is your answer. It features dual heat extractor vents integrated into a sculpted cowl design, engineered to relieve pressure and expel heat under throttle—ideal for performance builds that generate serious temps.
Unlike factory steel hoods, this one is crafted from wet carbon fiber with a UV-resistant clear coat, so it's show-ready out of the box. The design reduces front-end weight and helps manage engine bay temps, making it a practical upgrade for street-driven Mustangs and a must-have for track-focused cars.
You’ll find this hood in our 2015 Mustang body styling parts section, and among the top picks in our aftermarket Mustang hoods lineup for S550 builds.
