Manual Transmission. Automatic Fun.
A 2024 Mustang GT that still rows its own gears. A Gen 6 3.0L Whipple, over 830 rwhp through a built MT82, and a 10.67 at 135 on three pedals.
Modification Breakdown and Performance
The 2024 Mustang GT was already a beast off the showroom floor, but we had no intention of keeping it stock. With a Gen 6 3.0L Whipple supercharger at the heart of the build, we set out to turn this S650 into a street-legal rocket that still rows gears the old-school way. On 93 octane with VP Octanium and a Griptec pulley, it makes over 830 rwhp and 660 rwtq, all through a manual MT82.
To make that power usable, we overhauled the suspension and drivetrain with a purpose-built drag setup. Steeda Stop the Hop components, Kelltrac front struts, and Viking Crusader double adjustable shocks keep it planted, while GForce Outlaw axles and a Calimer Stage 2 MT82 put every bit of torque to the pavement. A McLeod RXTHD clutch and a QA1 carbon driveshaft handle the power transfer.
At the track it has already run 10.67 at 135 with a 1.69-second 60-foot. The Whipple's efficient airflow, the fueling, and consistent launches from the upgraded suspension make that pace repeatable in the real world, without giving up drivability or reliability.

The 10-Second Manual
Plenty of S650s run 10s on the 10R80 automatic. Doing it with three pedals is another thing entirely. On a 3.625-inch Griptec pulley and VP Octanium, this MT82 car ran 10.67 at 135 with a 1.69 60-foot on Mickey Thompson ET Street R drag radials. A McLeod RXTHD twin-disc and a Calimer Stage 2 MT82 are what make manual launches at this power level survivable and repeatable.
Forced Induction
Gen 6 3.0L Whipple supercharger kit (Stage 2) on a Griptec pulley, making roughly 10 to 11 psi. UPR catch can to keep the intake tract clean.
Fuel & Tuning
Factory DI/PI hybrid fuel system retained, with a Lethal Performance FUEL+ voltage booster to raise pump output without a full return-style conversion. Runs 93 octane with a can of VP Octanium per tank. Calibration is the Whipple Stage 2 included tune. No custom tuning on this build yet.
Driveline
McLeod RXTHD twin-disc clutch rated past 1000 hp, a Calimer Stage 2 MT82 for stronger synchros and gears, an MGW X-Spec short-throw shifter, a QA1 Rev Series carbon fiber driveshaft, and GForce Outlaw axles.
Suspension & Grip
Steeda Stop the Hop Street Starter Kit, Steeda linear drag springs, Kelltrac adjustable front struts, and Viking Crusader double adjustable rear shocks. Forgeline drag wheels and Mickey Thompson ET Street R tires out back.
Exhaust
Kooks 1 7/8-inch longtube headers with off-road connection pipes, a Corsa active sport axleback, and a Corsa double HH-pipe.
Appearance
Cervini's 4-inch cowl hood, DX Carbon hood vent, splitter, lower grille bezels, license plate surround, and radiator shroud, 20x10 Vossen HF7 wheels, and Anchor Room tint front and rear.

Hot Rod | Exclusive: 833-RWHP Supercharged 2024 Mustang GT Drag Test
Lethal Performance ested their Whipple-supercharged 2024 Mustang GT at Bradenton Motorsports Park and highlighted how the Gen 6 3.0L Whipple system transformed the Gen 4 Coyote into an 833 rear-wheel-horsepower monster while retaining street manners. The article focuses on the car’s drag strip performance, the challenges of tuning the new S650 platform, and how Whipple and Ford Performance collaborated to create a plug-and-play supercharger package capable of delivering massive power gains.
Ford Authority | Supercharged 2024 Ford Mustang GT Makes Big Power
Ford Authority highlighted Lethal Performance’s dyno testing of a Whipple-supercharged 2024 Mustang GT, where a Gen 6 3.0L Whipple system pushed the S650 to an impressive 833 rear-wheel horsepower on 93-octane fuel. The article also notes that the car was equipped with supporting mods including Kooks long-tube headers, a McLeod RXT clutch, and a QA1 carbon-fiber driveshaft, while factory RPM limitations prevented testing at the very top of the powerband.
A Gen 6 3.0L Whipple Supercharger Kit (Stage 2) paired with a GripTec pulley.
The car keeps the factory DI/PI hybrid fuel system. To support the added demand under boost, we added a Lethal Performance FUEL+ fuel pump voltage booster, which raises pump output without a full return-style system. It runs 93 octane with a can of VP Octanium per tank. Tuning is the Whipple Stage 2 included calibration. No custom tuning has been used on this build yet.
A McLeod RXTHD twin-disc clutch rated past 1000 hp. The MT82 has been upgraded to a Calimer Stage 2 unit for stronger synchros, better gear material, and overall durability.
Steeda's Stop the Hop Street Starter Kit, Steeda linear drag springs, Kelltrac front struts, and Viking Crusader double adjustable rear shocks. Together they deliver consistent launches and better squat geometry.
The current best is 10.67 at 135 mph with a 1.69 sixty-foot, on Forgeline rear drag wheels wrapped in Mickey Thompson ET Street R tires, running a 3.625-inch pulley and VP Octanium.
A QA1 Rev Series carbon fiber driveshaft up front and GForce Outlaw axles out back, built for high-torque launches on a prepped surface.
