2024 Mustang GT | MT82 + Whipple

When the S650 platform dropped, we couldn’t wait to get our hands on a manual GT and show the world what’s possible with the right bolt-ons and a serious boost in attitude. This 2024 Mustang GT build is our answer to every question about the new Coyote’s potential — and we went in with one goal: make it row gears, make big power, and make no excuses. Enter Whipple’s Gen 6 3.0L Stage 2 kit, a Griptec pulley, and a cocktail of performance-driven components chosen to survive track-day abuse and daily-driver duty alike.

2024 Mustang GT | Manual. Supercharged.

Unlike the more common 10R80 builds, this 6-speed car keeps the driver in control and the experience raw. It’s loud, responsive, and faster than Ford ever intended. From suspension to driveline to carbon fiber accents, every mod serves a purpose — with the dyno and timeslips to prove it. If you’re wondering what’s possible with a Gen 4 Coyote and some Lethal supporting mods, look no further.

The 2024 Mustang GT was already a beast off the showroom floor, but we had no intention of keeping it stock for long. With a Gen 6 3.0L Whipple Supercharger at the heart of the build, we aimed to transform this S650 into a street-legal rocket that still rowed gears the old-school way. Running 93 Octane + Octanium and a Griptec pulley upgrade, the car delivers over 830 rwhp and 660 rwtq — all through a manual MT82 transmission.

To make the power usable, we overhauled the suspension and drivetrain with a purpose-built drag setup. A combination of Steeda “Stop the Hop” components, Kelltrac front struts, and Viking Crusader double adjustable shocks keep the car planted, while GForce Outlaw axles and a Calimer Stage 2 MT82 ensure that every bit of torque hits the pavement. A McLeod RXTHD clutch and QA1 carbon driveshaft finish off the power transfer in style and durability.

At the track, the car has already run a 10.67 @ 135 mph with a 1.69-second 60-foot time. The combination of the Whipple’s efficient airflow, optimized fueling, and consistent launch control from the upgraded suspension allows the car to deliver repeatable performance under real-world conditions. This setup was engineered to push limits without sacrificing drivability or reliability.

Get an inside look at how this 2024 Mustang GT came to life—from its first dyno pulls to hitting the drag strip. Our YouTube playlist covers everything: the Whipple supercharger install, clutch and drivetrain upgrades, suspension tuning, and more. Whether you're planning your own build or just want to see what it takes to turn a stock S650 into a street-driven beast, this series delivers.

The car is equipped with a Gen 6 3.0L Whipple Supercharger Kit (Stage 2) paired with a GripTec pulley.

This car retains the factory DI/PI hybrid fuel system found on the 2024 Mustang GT. To support increased demand under boost, we added a Lethal Performance FUEL+ fuel pump voltage booster, which improves pump output without requiring a full return-style system. The car runs on 93 octane pump gas supplemented with a can of VP Octanium per tank to safely raise the octane level. Tuning is handled by the Whipple Superchargers calibration included with the Stage 2 kit — no custom tuning has been used on this build (yet)

We’re running a McLeod RXTHD twin disc clutch designed to hold over 1000+ hp. The MT82 has been upgraded to a Calimer Stage 2 unit for improved synchros, gear material, and overall strength.

The car uses Steeda's Stop the Hop Street Starter Kit, Steeda linear drag springs, Kelltrac front struts, and Viking Crusader double adjustable rear shocks. Combined, this setup delivers consistent launches and improved squat geometry.

The current best pass is 10.67 @ 135 mph with a 1.69 sixty-foot. That run was made on Forgeline rear drag wheels wrapped in Mickey Thompson ET Street R tires, running a 3.625” pulley and VP Octanium booster.

The car runs a QA1 Rev Series carbon fiber driveshaft for reduced rotational mass and increased strength. Out back are GForce Outlaw axles, capable of handling high torque launches on a drag-prepped surface.
