Overview
AWE Tuning's 0FG Cat-Back for the 2021+ Ford F-150 5.0L V8 Regular Cab is a premium bolt-on system built to deliver lightweight performance and an aggressive soundtrack without drone, thanks to AWE's patented 180 Technology. It is CNC mandrel-bent from U.S.-sourced 0.065-inch wall T304L stainless steel, a straight-through 3-inch design with dyno-proven gains of +4 hp and +6 lb-ft at the wheels, and it weighs about 12 lbs less than stock.
It runs a single-side exit with dual 4.5-inch double-walled slash-cut tips in chrome silver or diamond black, each adjustable for perfect bumper alignment. Installation is a direct bolt-on, and it is backed by AWE's Fitment Guarantee, No-CEL Guarantee, 50-state emissions compliance, and a lifetime warranty, all engineered and made in Pennsylvania.
Installation Guide
Thanks to AWE's modular design (flanges and clamps, no welding or permanent mods), you can install this just about anywhere, though a lift makes alignment easier.
1. Remove the Stock Exhaust
Loosen the two front flange bolts connecting the resonator section to the resonator inlet, then loosen the factory clamp holding the resonator to the over-axle tube. Rotate the front resonator section clockwise to release it from the locking feature. Remove the two OE front hanger brackets and the rear hangers, then safely support and remove the OEM exhaust.
2. Install the AWE System
Starting with the flanged end, position the AWE inlet section and loosely secure it with the original flange bolts. Slide a clamp over the expanded end of the mid section and connect it to the inlet, ensuring alignment. Slide a clamp over the inlet end of the axle tube and connect it to the mid section, securing it into the factory hanger. Slide a 3.0-inch band clamp over the inlet end of the rear merge assembly and connect it to the axle tube.
3. Install the Tips
Once assembled and aligned, install the 4.5-inch slash-cut tips (Chrome Silver or Diamond Black) to the outlets with the provided band clamps.
4. Final Adjustments
Confirm all components are aligned with adequate clearance from the body and suspension, then tighten all clamps to at least 60 ft-lbs with a torque wrench.
Post-Install Tips
- Start the truck and listen for exhaust leaks.
- Re-torque all clamps after a few heat cycles.
- Periodically inspect for wear or loose connections. A black streak or mark usually indicates a leak and should be addressed.
AWE 0FG F-150 FAQ
Does AWE have an exhaust for my 2021-2025 F-150 EcoBoost?
This particular system fits Regular Cab trucks with the 5.0L V8, but AWE also makes systems for 2015-2020 F-150 and 2021-2025 F-150 with the 2.7L and 3.5L EcoBoost.
Does it exit before the rear tire?
No. This system exits behind the rear tire, like the OEM exhaust. It is the only exit option available.
Will it fit all trim levels?
It fits XL and XLT Regular Cab 5.0L trucks. AWE also offers systems for other models and trims (Lariat, Limited, Platinum, STX) in SuperCrew configurations.
Will it work with long-tube headers?
Yes, as long as the long-tube headers include a mid-pipe designed to connect to the OEM cat-back.
