This heavy duty aluminum cover offers many advantages over a steel cover. Thick aluminum provides structural support to the main housing and improves gear life by reducing housing flex. Jack screws preload main caps and raise the threshold where the caps would deflect and break. Features fill and drain plugs to simplify fluid changes. Provisions to accept optional axle tube brace kit (R5209) to drastically reduce axle tube flex that is common to hard launches.
