Tech Tip: T-45 Spline Counts
The 1996-1998 Cobra uses a 10-spline input shaft from the factory. If you have upgraded to a heavy-duty 26-spline input shaft, make sure you select the 26-spline specific kit for your install.
All 1996-1998 SVT Cobras require an 8-bolt Neutral Balance flywheel. Our McLeod Power Packs include the correct 8-bolt flywheel for a seamless fit.
For primarily street driving, the RST (800 HP) is best as organic discs provide smoother engagement. For track use or high-heat environments, the ceramic RXT (1000 HP) is recommended.
No. You must upgrade your input shaft to a 26-spline unit to use any 26-spline clutch kit. Stock T-45 transmissions require 10-spline clutch kits.
