Lethal Performance MAF Adapter Harness

The Lethal Performance MAF adapter harness is the solution for those with 99-04 mustangs to use a slot style maf like the ones used on all 2005+ mustangs. The 99-04 car uses a different style connector then the 05+ cars do. The only other option to date was to use a special Diablosport MAFia to adapt the connections. So whether you're runnnig the Whipple Crusher CAI or the JLT 110mm MAF now that we offer this plug and play adapter harness it will cost less you less to run the newer slot style MAF.

Pigtail needed for HPX ford style maf sensors.

Direct replacement for 05+ Ford vehicles.

Can also be used on 96-2004 Fords using 05+ MAF to utilize built in IAT sensor.

This adaptor plate and gasket kit allows you to use an 05-newer Slot Style MAF sensor with a JLT Next Generation 12" High Boost intake.

Our aluminum flange allows the 05+ sensor to be installed directly onto any size tube. The flange must be attached by welding. The radius on the flange is cut for 3.5", but welding will fill in any small gaps present when used on other tube sizes.

If you are not able to weld the flanges on take a look at our billet MAF housings.

In 2005 Ford Introduced a new style of mass-air sensor. It is commonly referred to "slot" or "card" style. This sensor has no housing, the stock airbox has a receptacle for the sensor.

We have found that the new sensor works very well in blow-through applications. Blow-through means that the mass air sensor is placed after the compressor (supercharged or turbocharged vehicles). The slot style MAF provides a very clean and consistent signal when used in blow-through. The slot style MAF can be placed in any size tube, from 3" to 4.5". We do not recommend going smaller than 2.75". In blow-through applications a 3" tube will result in the best signal, 3.5" tube will result in a marginal signal, and 4" will result in a very poor signal when used in blow-through. The car will need to be properly tuned for the new MAF sensor housing size.

When it comes to driveability and throttle response, blow through with an 05+ MAF is the best way to go. Having the MAF sensor far away from the engine makes the car harder to tune and hinders throttle response. In the past tuners used to recommend suck-through, but this has since changed with the introduction of the 05+ MAF. With blow-through the by-pass valve can now be vented to atmosphere, this will reduced air temps, because the air is no longer being re-circulated and re-heated.

Running the MAF sensor in blow through in a smaller tube than stock reduces range, to get this range back you can use a MAFIA extender or an VMP HPX slot style sensor. For very high power applications the VMP HPX sensor is recommended, as the MAFIA can only be used up to setting 3 on the 05+ MAF.

This harness *mates* to your existing 4-pin or 6-pin MAF connector, if you have an 01+ vehicle with a 6-pin harnes and built in IAT sensor, this harness will allow you to use the IAT built into the 05+ MAF (slot style, including HPX). If you have a 96-00 vehicle you will need to keep using the external IAT or buy our solder on harness instead and cut your existing wiring.
