The perfect balance between size, 110mm which can easily support well over 600 RWHP and fit. 110mm makes it easy to tune and the smooth large bend makes it flow massive amounts of air to the large twin bore throttle body.
With a huge 4.5” opening on the tube we needed a huge filter. We love the tapered flange design and Powerstack filtered ends of S&B's filters and ended up with a monster 4.5x9” filter. Finish it off with a silicone coupler and stainless clamps and you got the BEST Intake on the market!!! NO METAL TUBING HERE!!
Automatic cars need an additional fitting, which we provide if you select automatic when ordering (see below). The fittings are Milled from solid billet aluminum and all you need to do is drill a ½” hole (we show you where) in the tube, install the supplied grommet, fitting and you’re done. Note, all kits sold to resellers will include the automatic fitting.

NEW TUBE DESIGN
When we developed our 2011 Mustang GT 5.0 intake we did something completely different for us and incorporated the MAF housing into the tube. This made for a much smoother interior without any transitions, steps or couplers to upset the air flow. Another benefit is the over all look is just plain awesome!
It’s a full 123mm ID at the MAF area. It also has a new larger heat shield with two mounting points and a weather strip that seals to the hood. With a huge 5” opening on the tube we needed a huge filter so we got with S&B and gave them some measurements. We love the tapered flange design and Powerstack filtered ends of their filters and ended up with a monster 5x9” filter, that’s a full 8.25” across at the base and 5.5” at the top. Finish it off with a silicone coupler and stainless clamps and you got the lowest priced 123mm Intake on the market!!! NO METAL TUBING HERE!!
MOLDED IN MAF
The best part of this new JLT Big Air is we kicked the cool factor up a notch and molded a 123mm MAF housing right in the tube. This not only look great, but the smooth inside makes air flow nice and smooth. Early testing shows this can be used with the stock MAF sensor all the way up to 650 RWHP and well beyond with a MAFia, SCT BA5000 or HPX sensor.

*TIP* by purchasing a 2nd air filter you can simply swap filters when it's time to clean it and not be rushed. Clean the first filter and it's ready when it's time to change again.

The JLT Air Box consists of an ABS Heat Shield that ties into the stock fresh air inlet in the grille as well as seals to the hood, a 4.5” Flow tube, Huge 4.5X9” S&B Powerstack Air Filter, Silicone reducer and all clamps.
We did some dyno testing with the kit with good results. First we ran the car the way it comes from Paxton with the stock airbox in a blow through MAF set up. Then we swapped out the stock box for the new JLT Air Box and made a couple more runs.
The increased air flow resulted in an additional 1.5 PSI of boost and 20-30 RWHP and RWTQ increases through out the runs.
This is with NO TUNING as it’s a blow through set up. We also have a draw through set up with a large 110mm MAF.
WE RECOMMEND YOU HAVE YOUR TUNE CHECKED ANYTIME YOU MAKE A PART CHANGE ON A SUPERCHARGED CAR!
