Somewhere during the 2000 year, Ford changed the exhaust design (there are two different exhaust versions for the year 2000, “old style” and “new style”). Ford installed the restriction points as an attempt to silence the exhaust flutter issue. Our Y Pipe was specially designed and tested as a more efficient fix for the problem.
