Since an OEM option \nwas not available, and our power goals were well north of 700hp, we \nundertook the task to construct a completely new intercooler system. As \nwith all AWE Tuning Intercoolers, a cast end tank was designed in house \nusing sophisticated CAD (Computer Aided Design) and CFD (Computational \nFluid Dynamics) software. Once the end tanks were cast by the foundry, they \nwere then machined on our CNC mill, welded to specially designed cores, and \nthen power tested and refined on our chassis dynamometer.\u003cbr\u003eCompared to stock, the AWE Tuning Porsche 997.2TT Performance Intercoolers \ncores are 37% larger (422 cubic inches vs 308 cubic inches). In contrast to \nthe stock cores, AWE Tuning Porsche 997.2TT Performance Intercoolers are a \nhigh flow bar and plate style and are built to our charge row and fin count \nspecs. These specifications resulted in improved intake temperatures and \nimproved drop pressure resistance through the core.
