This is the perfect twin disc clutch kit for the Ford MT-82 to T56 upgrade in the 2011-2017 Mustang GT. Also fits the popular 5.0L Coyote swap using a Tremec T56 or Magnum transmission. The stock MT-82 transmission uses a 23 spline input shaft, while the T-56 uses a 26 spline shaft. This higher spline count increases the strength of the input shaft by giving the clutch and pilot bearing greater surface area to connect to the transmission.
This kit includes Sprung Center, cushioned discs, using our premium Organic Friction material. This equates to more torque capacity and heat resistance while retaining excellent drivability. The Mantic USA 9000 series clutches are twin disc, 9” (225mm) diameter which greatly reduces the MOI. This allows more power to be put to the ground as well as quicker more precise shifts when compared to the heavier OE flywheels.
The clutch is modular in construction for ease of service and is completely rebuildable. The cover and components are machined from billet stock adding strength and durability.
Pedal effort remains relatively low, approximately 12-15% increase over the OE clutch pedal feel. These kits offer up to 607 ft-lbs of torque capacity at the Crank, roughly 500-525 ft-lbs at the wheels. NOTE: Capacity will vary with use and type of power adder being utilized ( NA vs Supercharger vs Nitrous vs Turbo )
