JLT 2010-2014 Shelby GT500 123mm Plastic Big Air Intake Kit (Hydrocarbon Finish)

INTAKE TUBE WITH MOLDED IN MAF. The best part of this JLT Big Air is we kicked the cool factor up a notch and molded a 123mm MAF housing right in the tube. This makes a much smoother interior without any transitions, steps or couplers to upset the air flow. Another benefit is the over all look is just plain awesome! Early testing shows this can be used with the stock MAF sensor all the way up to 750 RWHP and well beyond with a MAFia, SCT BA5000 or HPX sensor.

FINISH. Through an awesome process called Hydrographics, the intake tube is made to look like carbon fiber. The tube is painted and then dipped in a water solution with a carbon fiber print film that adheres to the part when removed. Tube is then clear coated for a durable finish.

HEAT SHIELD. The vacuum formed ABS plastic heat shield blocks engine heat at idle and low speed. It has a weather strip that seals to the hood, and incorporates the fresh air inlet from the grill. It uses a large area to make sure the filter has tons of cool air. Now includes new redesigned heat shield so 2013 GT500's no longer have to move the intercooler pump.(2/25/13)

AIR FILTER. We use only the best air filters made by S&B to our specifications. We love S&B's tapered flange design and Powerstack filtered ends. With a huge 5” opening on the tube we needed a huge filter. The result is a monster 5x9” filter with built in screen to straighten airflow. It measures a full 8.25” across at the base and 5.5” at the top.

OIL OR DRY. We use only the best air filters made by S&B to our specifications. For years we only used oiled filters, but dry filter technology has been proven and is now a popular option. Should I choose a Dry Disposable or Cotton Oiled Filter? Since you are not sacrificing performance with either choice, the decision comes down to would you rather throw away the filter or clean it.

Dry: Comparable airflow to oiled cotton filters with the same great protection. Last for up to 30,000 miles of highway driving. Extend the life of the filter using compressed air.
Oil: Oiled filters can last forever as long as you properly clean and re-oil it. See picture of filters below. Oil filters are available in red or blue and Dry filters are white.

TUNING. A JLT specific tune is required with this kit.
