Zach Meyers’ Record Setting S550

Take a look at this 8-second 2018 Mustang & it's owner...

Within the family we call #TeamLethal, a select few tend to stand out. Thats why we are taking the time to feature certain customer builds every month! Among those unique builds, Zach Meyers' S550 Mustang GT happened to be salient enough to be our first customer feature. As if running 8’s in the quarter mile on a stock transmission wasn’t impressive enough, this beautiful example of a S550 bombarded with quality parts will have you calling your local Ford dealership and get yourself one too! Just don't forget where you can order the parts from ;)

The Questionnaire:

Let's face it. Customer features are cool. But it's not all just about the car. We wanted to know a bit more of Zach and how he got into this beautiful hobby. So Pabs picked his brain with a few questions and this is what he had to say...

Q: Where did your love for cars come from?

A: “My dad was a service advisor for a car dealership so I was around cars all the time. He would take me for a test drive in some cars and I was hooked.”

Q: When?

A: “Early 90’s”

Q: Tell us a little about the car we have here today.

A: “It’s a 2018 Mustang GT. It has a sleeved motor with forged rods and pistons, Bret Barber ported heads, Whipple Supercharger,  Lethal’s BMR Bread and Butter suspension, Lethal’s Whipple fuel system." "Basically all the major go fast parts came from Lethal", he said.

Q: What made you get this car?

A: “Watching the results and upgrades on Jared’s GoldMember Mustang.”

Q: Favorite thing about this car?

A: “The acceleration”

Q: What gives it character?

A: “The carbon components (soon to be painted) from Anderson Composites.”

Q: Favorite mod?

A: “The Whipple Supercharger”

Q: If you could have any car, what is your realistic dream car?

A: “A Twin Turbo Lambo from UR.”

Q: You can only drive one car for the rest of your life, what would it be?

A: “That’s a tough one, likely a Ram TRX. I am a contractor and need a truck.”

Q: If anyone ever told you to leave cars and enter another hobby, what would it be?

A: “First I wouldn’t listen to them, but if I chose another hobby it would likely be motorsports related. Either ATV’s, side by sides, jet-skis, something with speed and and an engine.”

Q: Do you remember the first car that ever got your attention?

A: “1992 Dodge Viper”

Q: List of your past cars. Which one is your favorite?

A: “I have had a bunch, many daily's which aren’t interesting, the Dodge Vipers I have had are the ones I miss the most.”

As mentioned before, we love how simple and reliable this build is. It runs a consistant 1.24-1.26 sixty foot on a STOCK CONVERTER. This allowed Zack to set the record for the quickest supercharged 10R80 Mustang with an 8.534 @ 161 mph! Yup. That's what happens when you make somewhere north of 1200 horsepower. Since then, the car has gotten 2" headers and ported heads. Wouldn't surprise me if the car makes closer to 1250HP now. Our jaws dropped too.

We managed to snag a picture with Zach moments after he ran his first 8's in the quarter!

TO WRAP THINGS UP...

As far as customer features go, Zach definitely set the bar pretty high. We loved how this build is a prime example of “less is more” and how reliable simplicity can be. If you like what you see in this build, you can click each individual part and that will link you to the website. Or if you have any questions about the build itself, you can call in and we would be glad to help you out. YOU could be next to have a chance to have your build shown off by Lethal Performance! Send Pabs an email or DM us on Instagram! And be sure to check out our upgrades like aftermarket Mustang rims and Mustang superchargers!

Until the next one,

CHEERS!
