2013 Shelby GT500 on the Dyno!!

  • Oct 29, 2013

We finally got the chance to mess around and do some testing on the dyno with out new 2013 Shelby. The goal was to get some baseline pulls to see what it can make stock and then with a few other bolt-ons. So we headed to Power By The Hour in Boynton Beach where we strapped her down to the Dynojet for some runs. Joining us was our tuner Ken Bjonnes of Lund Racing. After making a few baseline pulls we yielded a best of 592rwhp/611rwtq. Pretty stout numbers for stock car in the 90deg South Florida heat. Right after that a few pulls were made with a tune only. Unfortunately we can't disclose the numbers as the car is being featured in a 5.0 Mustang & Super Fords Magazine article. However what we can say is that the tune alone is enough to put a smile on your face. After that we added our 3" offroad x-pipe and ran the car with the stock tune to see what the pipe was worth on the stock calibration. Once we got those numbers we re-flashed the car with the Lund Racing tune and ran it again with the offroad pipe to yield us our biggest gains over stock so far. The next few runs were done with a Nitrous Pro-Flow wet kit supplied to us by our good friends at Wilson Manifolds. As mentioned before we can't disclose the nitrous numbers yet as the nitrous install is part of an exclusive article being done by SVTPerformance.com. However this thing is ridiculous!!! Not only were the rwhp numbers insane this thing is a TORQUE monster.
